Willy Moon Live At The Berghain

Despite only spending two nights in Berlin and those being a Sunday & a Monday we still managed to cram plenty in.  Monday night was a somewhat less debauched affair than Sunday, we were probably still recovering from the previous nights antics.  With an invitation to a private 'Willy Moon' gig at the Berghain club, we were blown away by his performance and the venue.  The Berghain club is a former power station and a really unique venue, well worth a visit, although worth mentioning its not usually open on a Monday, and the weekends are usually devoted to 'Electro' which Berlin is renowned for.  Favourite song of the evening was 'Yeah Yeah' which is the next song to be released on the 6th May - think jazz, rock 'n' roll influences but a very contemporary sound.

What do you mean there's no wardrobe?!!!!

All Saints 'tribal' necklace and Topshop choker

The infamous and most coveted Zara blouse - if only it were mine!

Jenne O snakeskin peeptoes, River Island ankle boots

Upon arriving at our beautiful room in Soho House Berlin, we began to unpack and then the panic set in - where was the wardrobe?  The room had everything else - bathrobes, slippers, homemade biscuits, all the cowshed toiletries you've ever dreamed of, a vintage radio, even a sex toy cupboard..........but no wardrobe.  After exchanging a few worried glances, Kate and I realised there were two sets of hooks & hangers on the walls........... one bigger than the other.   Being quintissentially British, we refrained from slinging handbags at each other (mainly because mines a Mulberry) and Kate quietly and calmly nabbed the bigger set.  If we'd stayed longer than two nights we'd have been screwed...

Mixed Metals

Leather & gold necklace made by me, Dominic Jones knuckleduster ring & vintage charm
Maria Francesca Pepe ring with cross, Dominic Jones rose gold ring

During my stay at Soho House Berlin,  I treated myself to a 30 minute 'Speedy Manicure' in the Cowshed spa using Essie nail polish and I can say I'm smitten with the results.  Never been able to grow my nails so I like to keep them short and sweet! Love the metallic ink blue shade with my mixed metal rings - gunmetal and rose gold belong together like Rumi and Bryan Boy.

Berlin Photo Diary

H&M knit, Whistles dress & top, Reiss sequin skirt and Topshop blazer

Kate's chocolate birthday cake - we didn't eat it all!

Last week I spent the most wonderful three days at Soho House Berlin.  It was so good, I didn't want to leave and contemplated handcuffing myself to one of giant bespoke floral settees in the bar and professing my love for 'Johnny' the very skilled cocktail tender.  Thankfully, once the sixth glass of 'Lavendar Bubbles' wore off I came to my senses, and sulked all the way to the airport.  If you haven't been to Soho House Berlin before, you're probably thinking i'm nuts, so here's a little photo diary to persuade you otherwise, or at least try to!
